Some more stuff about Jeannie

Jeannie is 4 years old. She was a feral that lived on a golf course where a nice man was feeding and catching the kitties. Jeannie had one litter of babies before she was caught with them. All her babies were adopted at @ 8 weeks old, but Jeannie was too scared and no one wanted her when they found out she was feral and not a lap cat. Pat (the lady with "Second Chance for Strays") had her spayed and up to date with her shots, she was with Pat for a year in her laundry room. Pat was able to pet Jeannie, but never pushed holding her. Pat told me that I could adopt her because I have had feral cats before and new I wouldn't push too fast with her.

Jeannie stayed in the PTU all night. Except I know she checked out the litter box, there are tiny little foot prints in it. She didn't eat, but that's not surprising. When I check on her, she just stares at me with huge eyes. I hope she relaxes soon, I hate seeing her so upset.

So this is where she is, I have a screen door I put in front of the bathroom door so she can get used to house noise but none of the other furkids can bother her. So far they don't act like they even know she's here.

We hope Jeannie gets to feel safe and makes friends with the other cats!

Jeannie will find her way all in good time. She will sense she is safe and loved. Letting her do it at her pace will pay dividends in the end.

We hope Jeannie begins to feel more comfortable in her new surroundings. It will take time, as you well know. But she's much better off with you than living outside. Good for you for taking her!

Jeannie is gorgeous. I'm sure she will feel safe soon and start to take an interest in food again. The other cats should notice her soon.
